Lead Staff Counsel Procedural Review Auditor - Attorney

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to Staff Counsel offices across the country is required at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $134,275–$210,125.

What you will do

• Conduct audits of Staff Counsel files to evaluate case handling, reporting, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provide post-audit feedback to management on cases requiring immediate attention and identified policy violations.
• Deliver independent recommendations on policy gaps, loopholes, irregularities, and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present audit-trend reports to senior management and Staff Counsel Managers.
• Recommend improvements to the audit process, policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Active law license in good standing in applicable jurisdictions, including required continuing legal education.
• At least seven years of litigation experience, including insurance defense or personal injury.
• Demonstrated experience handling cases of significant severity and complexity.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, prioritization, multitasking, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel to Staff Counsel offices at least 25% of the time.
