Field Property Claims Adjuster III, Property (Flex Team) (Insurance)

Location: Texas; the ideal candidate will reside in or around Austin, TX. The role requires field work, travel of up to 80%, overnight deployments, CAT duty, and physical inspections of properties and rooftops.

Salary: $79,500–$148,500 annually; expected starting range: $79,500–$119,500.

What you will do

• Handle complex and catastrophic property claims from initial investigation through settlement.
• Determine policy coverage, evaluate liability, set and adjust reserves, and recommend settlement values.
• Write property estimates, maintain knowledge of local repair procedures and market pricing, and use claims systems.
• Work with the Special Investigation Unit and Subrogation to identify fraud and recovery opportunities.
• Prepare files for litigation, trials, or subrogation and provide outstanding service to policyholders and other stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced claims associates and provide training and leadership support.

Requirements

• Five years of experience handling property claims, insurance processing, or field claims adjusting.
• Solid experience with Xactimate, including writing estimates and handling claims through completion.
• Strong customer service, analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; required state licensing where applicable.
• Ability to safely access and inspect rooftops using ladders, including first- and second-story roofs with pitches up to 8/12.
• Willingness to travel, work irregular and extended hours, stay overnight when required, and participate in catastrophe deployments is mandatory.
