Location: Remote within the United States; must reside in and perform the work in the United States. Reston, Virginia is listed as the job location.

Salary: $98,614–$167,644 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex Appian applications supporting enterprise workflows.
• Lead remediation, conversion, modernization, and platform upgrade efforts for custom Appian plugins.
• Troubleshoot Appian applications, integrations, plugins, infrastructure dependencies, and production issues.
• Support architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, reusable components, and integration standards.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, QA teams, architects, and stakeholders in Agile delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and guidance on Appian AI capabilities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience and a bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of hands-on Appian development and Appian support experience in Agile delivery environments.
• 4+ years troubleshooting self-managed, on-premises Linux Appian environments, including installations and logs.
• 4+ years supporting integrations involving APIs, web services, databases, and external enterprise systems.
• 4+ years using Git/GitLab and modern source control workflows.
• US Citizenship or Green Card required; must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must reside and work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Appian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer certification.
• Experience modernizing custom Appian plugins with Java and leading platform upgrade initiatives.
• Knowledge of SQL, software architecture, secure coding, REST/SOAP integrations, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or cloud-native environments.
• Experience with Appian AI Skills, AI Copilot, AI Document Processing, AI Agents, or related platform capabilities.
