Intern - Molecular Genetics (Laboratory Science)

Location: Westborough, Massachusetts, United States; the role is in-person, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Pay: $17.75–$22 per hour

What you will do

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with specimen organization, inventory, workspace preparation, and other non-testing laboratory activities.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow laboratory safety, compliance, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• Interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Ability to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts, take initiative, and work independently under general supervision.
• Professional conduct, punctuality, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
