Senior Strategic Buyer (Pharmaceutical Procurement)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end indirect procurement for the Tampa site across MRO, technical services, utilities, facilities, professional services, IT, HR, packaging, and capital projects.
• Run strategic sourcing activities including tendering, supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
• Deliver savings, cost avoidance, value creation, demand management, and sourcing synergies across the Americas.
• Partner with site leadership and Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, Facilities, and project teams.
• Support capital investments, site expansion, operational growth, supplier transitions, and contract adoption.
• Manage supplier performance, risk mitigation, business continuity, compliance, responsible sourcing, sustainability, and procurement digitalization.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of indirect procurement experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemicals, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, technical projects, capital investments, and regulated environments.
• Proven results in cost savings, supplier performance improvement, value creation, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency in SAP, SAP Ariba, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business, engineering, operations, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
• Advanced degree or ISM, CPSM, or CIPS certification.
