Project Analyst - SETA Level 2 (Emerging Tech)

Location: Hybrid schedule with some telework, based in Alexandria, Virginia, United States

Salary: $89,649–$152,404 per year

What you will do

• Support science, engineering, technology, research and development, and programmatic activities for NSF innovation programs.
• Provide technical and program support for directors managing R&D portfolios and awardees.
• Manage milestones and prepare program briefings, technical reports, and materials for NSF leadership and interagency partners.
• Coordinate technical discussions, partnerships, program concepts, meetings, and conferences with government, industry, and other stakeholders.
• Support systems engineering, process and system improvement, data analysis, user experience, and full program life-cycle activities.
• Serve as a team lead when needed, coordinating task implementation and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of research and development, research project management, and project management experience.
• Experience with project management tools, systems development and mapping tools, data analytics, reporting, and visualization.
• Knowledge of federal R&D programs, funding mechanisms, commercialization, technology transfer, or transition-to-practice processes.
• Strong communication, multitasking, stakeholder coordination, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD degree.
• PMP or another relevant project management certification.
• Experience with NSF, SETA programs, interagency work, high-growth technology enterprises, surveys, and innovation ecosystems.
• Experience supporting senior leadership and commercialization or technology-transfer research.
