Clinical Laboratory Technologist-Molecular

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; the position is onsite with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures following standard operating procedures.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance, quality control, supply replenishment, and specimen processing while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, or an equivalent degree meeting CLIA standards.
• Molecular MT Florida license required.
• Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a high-volume laboratory environment.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position and pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice to have

• At least three months of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
