Head of Product (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, United States; approximately 25% travel

Base salary: $200,000–$270,000, based on experience and location; meaningful equity

What you will do

• Establish multi-year product strategy and a prioritized roadmap tied to retention, expansion revenue, time-to-value, margin, and competitive win rate.
• Partner with Finance and Sales on packaging, pricing, AI monetization, and gross-margin impact.
• Own cybersecurity product quality, including detection accuracy, coverage, false-positive rate, signal-to-noise, and trust in automated findings.
• Translate security research, threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks into shipped capabilities.
• Define AI governance, explainability, human oversight, data residency, customer-data training policies, and defenses against prompt injection and model misuse.
• Lead customer discovery, competitive positioning, strategic sales support, launches, integrations, and the product organization’s operating cadence.

Requirements

• 10+ years in product management, including 4+ years leading product teams at a B2B SaaS company serving enterprise buyers.
• Direct cybersecurity product experience or experience in a comparably technical domain with engineering or security practitioners as buyers.
• Track record of shipping platform capabilities and packages that improved retention, expansion, or deal size.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI or ML capabilities into production and making related governance decisions.
• Experience managing products where accuracy and trust are central to the value proposition, and building strong product teams during growth-stage transitions.
• Ability to work deeply with engineering and research while presenting roadmap strategy to boards, investors, and enterprise security leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience selling into healthcare, critical infrastructure, financial services, manufacturing, or government.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, or industry-specific regulations.
• Experience with on-premises or air-gapped deployments, integration ecosystems, partner programs, or channel programs.
• Experience with analyst relations, category positioning, M&A evaluation, or post-acquisition product integration.
• Experience with usage-based or hybrid pricing and scaling a company from Series B/C through its next growth stage.
