Past Founder (AI Cybersecurity)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Remote, US. Hybrid work setup.

Salary: $100,000–$300,000 annual base salary, with potential variable compensation, equity, and benefits depending on the role.

What you will do

• Own critical initiatives end-to-end, including product areas, customer segments, or go-to-market motions.
• Work directly with the founding team to identify priorities and determine how to solve them.
• Build processes, playbooks, and operational infrastructure for the next phase of company growth.
• Engage with enterprise customers and security teams, translating their insights into product development and positioning.
• Hire and develop a team as the scope of the workstream expands.

Requirements

• Founded or co-founded a venture-backed startup and operated through its early stages.
• Experience building products, hiring teams, managing a board, raising venture capital, and making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information.
• Alumni of a top accelerator such as Y Combinator, Techstars, or a similar program.
• Experience founding or co-founding an AI-native company in cybersecurity or an adjacent domain such as security infrastructure, compliance automation, cloud security, threat intelligence, or enterprise risk.
• Experience selling into or building for enterprise security teams, with familiarity with vulnerability management, SIEM, SOAR, or adjacent security tooling.
• Experience scaling a team beyond the first few hires and building processes to support growth.

Nice to have

• Background in product, engineering, or go-to-market at a high-growth startup beyond the candidate's own company.
