Financial Accountant - 6m FTC (Banking)

Location: London, hybrid

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum plus a 10% completion bonus

hirify.global is supporting an international bank with the appointment of a Financial Accountant for its Financial Control team.

What you will do

• Support statutory, year-end, and regular management financial reporting.
• Prepare analysis, schedules, disclosures, and financial statement support.
• Apply IFRS principles to transactions, financial instruments, and banking activities.
• Review journals and accounting entries, investigate unusual transactions, and identify required adjustments.
• Work with Finance, Operations, business teams, and auditors to resolve discrepancies and respond to queries.
• Support accounting controls, process improvements, testing, implementation, and data-related finance change initiatives.

Requirements

• Recently qualified ACA with an audit background from a Big 4 firm, with or without financial services audit experience.
• Top 10 audit background with financial services audit experience.
• Experience auditing or preparing financial statements.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial information.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders outside Finance.
