Senior Accountant (Fintech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid work. Work from home is available on Mondays and Fridays, with office attendance on other days.

What you will do

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly close processes for the UK group companies.
• Prepare product-level P&Ls with the finance team and business stakeholders to support commercial decisions.
• Own and automate balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and identify unusual data trends.
• Assist with consolidated balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow preparation.
• Compile, consolidate, and reconcile high-volume data from multiple sources for month-end reporting.
• Support financial control improvements and annual audit preparation, including schedules and auditor queries.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification and 0–2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Strong Excel skills for high-volume ledger and reconciliation work.
• Meticulous, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-transaction-volume environment.
• Collaborative, hands-on approach with an interest in improving financial controls and policies.
