Financial Accountant (Gaming)

Location: St Helier, Jersey; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting cycle.
• Prepare and improve balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, and working papers.
• Analyse balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow performance, investigating variances and identifying risks or opportunities.
• Build and automate reporting processes using Excel and other data tools.
• Partner with Finance Operations, FP&A, and wider Finance teams to improve financial information.
• Support audit, governance, controls, and wider Finance improvement projects.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
• Relevant experience in financial reporting, management accounting, or a similar finance environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting across the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex financial data and large datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience improving reporting processes, automating manual tasks, or using Power Query, Alteryx, or similar tools.

Hiring process

• 30-minute Talent Partner interview via Zoom.
• One-hour onsite interview with the Senior Financial Reporting Manager and People Partner.
• Final one-hour Zoom interview with the Head of Financial Reporting and Financial Controller, followed by an informal onsite meeting with the Head of Finance.
