Industrial Millwright (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in London, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $58,450–$77,930 annually, plus discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on production and packaging equipment.
• Modify, rebuild, upgrade, install, commission, validate, and transfer production equipment.
• Lead equipment setup, changeovers, line dismantling, and general facility maintenance activities.
• Design, fabricate, and install fixtures, guards, machine components, and other mechanical devices.
• Maintain repair logs, inspection reports, maintenance records, and shift documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, contractors, and other trades while training operators on equipment operation and basic maintenance.

Requirements

• Valid Industrial Millwright Certification and completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or post-secondary technical training.
• 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with machining equipment, welding equipment, shop machinery, hand tools, and technical documentation.
• Ability to coordinate work, train operators and maintenance personnel, and support continuous improvement projects.
• Commitment to safety, quality, regulatory compliance, ISO 9001, GMP, and EH&S requirements; ability to meet the physical requirements and complete a medical assessment where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic systems and robotic programming.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and safe chemical handling practices.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
