Associate Hardware Engineer (Electric Power Systems)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States. United States citizenship is required.

Salary: $84,200–$115,500 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, and develop conventional analog and digital circuits.
• Conduct design reviews and demonstrate product and circuit robustness.
• Develop hardware and system-level specifications.
• Create and execute test plans, evaluate results, and document findings.
• Prepare product documentation, including data sheets, manuals, project notebooks, and design documentation.
• Manage or lead moderately complex hardware projects and coordinate activities with purchasing and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 2+ years of combined experience in at least two areas: analog circuit design, digital design with microprocessors or FPGAs, power supply design, or PCB layout.
• Working knowledge of project management processes and procedures.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• United States citizenship, satisfactory background check results, and negative drug test results are required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on prototyping experience.
• Knowledge of industrial controls, voltage and current measurement, mixed-signal electronics, three-phase and electric power systems, or electric utility telecommunications.
• Leadership experience or training.
