Senior Fullstack Engineer (RUM)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: USD $154,445–$185,334 annual OTE/base compensation, plus RSUs.

hirify.global develops Grafana Cloud, an open-source-based observability platform for monitoring applications, infrastructure, databases, browsers, and mobile systems.

What you will do

• Build and evolve fullstack Real User Monitoring features across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and storage systems.
• Design systems that ingest, store, and query high-volume, high-cardinality telemetry using columnar and analytical databases.
• Develop performant query layers and APIs for real-time exploration of user sessions, traces, and events.
• Create data-heavy interfaces for visualizing RUM data and debugging performance and user-behavior issues.
• Optimize data models, indexing strategies, query performance, latency, and cost efficiency.
• Own projects from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, documentation, testing, and iteration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fullstack engineering experience with strong frontend fundamentals.
• Experience with TypeScript and React; backend experience with Go is preferred.
• Experience operating distributed systems in production and working with high-throughput, high-cardinality data.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, query optimization, APIs, distributed services, and performance tradeoffs.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and collaborate effectively in a distributed team.

Nice to have

• Experience with browser or mobile instrumentation, RUM SDKs, telemetry collection, or mobile performance.
• Contributions to OpenTelemetry or other observability open-source projects.
• Experience building developer-facing platforms, observability products, session replay, sampling, or user-behavior analytics systems.
