CAD Engineer – Infrastructure (ASIC/EDA)

Location: Central Texas, United States

Base pay: $230,773–$323,081.85 annually for California and Washington applicants; other site ranges may differ.

hirify.global develops reusable space vehicles and systems and is building the TeraWave multi-orbit satellite communications network.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain compute infrastructure for Custom ASIC Silicon design and verification.
• Configure EDA tool environments, license servers, access controls, and version management.
• Deploy and support HPC clusters and storage systems for large-scale simulation and verification workloads.
• Implement continuous integration systems for hardware design validation.
• Monitor resource utilization, provide capacity planning recommendations, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to optimize on-premise and cloud-based design environments and document operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in CAD/EDA infrastructure or semiconductor design environments.
• Experience managing compute infrastructure for semiconductor or ASIC design teams.
• Experience with EDA license server management, such as FlexLM or FlexNet.
• Strong scripting skills with Python, shell, Perl, or Tcl.
• Experience with Git or Perforce in a hardware design context and knowledge of Linux-based HPC environments.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with cloud-based EDA infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with VLSI HPC environments, CI/CD pipelines for hardware design, Docker, Kubernetes, storage systems, and network architecture.
• Experience supporting large ASIC design teams across multiple concurrent projects.
