Customer Engagement Architect (EDA)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; occasional travel of up to 10% may be required.

Annual salary: $185,500–$344,500, plus potential incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for Palladium, Protium, and Virtual Protocol products.
• Work with customers on performance tuning and train them to deploy advanced compiler features.
• Debug customer-reported failures, create reproducible test cases, and log issues with R&D teams.
• Handle critical customer escalations and collaborate with R&D managers to resolve customer issues.
• Test R&D fixes, patches, new product features, and hardware platform releases.
• Support hardware and firmware issues, define enhancement requests, and update product training materials.

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 8+ years of experience in complex digital design, verification, applications engineering, or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of design debugging, logic design, and verification methodologies for complex EDA environments.
• Expertise in HDL languages, including Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL, with the ability to quickly create test cases.
• Expertise in Unix/Linux scripting languages such as ksh, bash, csh, and Perl.
• Experience with assertions, coverage, and low-power design using CPF/UPF.
• Clear communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to customers and internal teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with emulation and hirify.global Palladium or Protium products.
• UVM experience.
