Manager, Financial Reporting (Nonprofit Clients)

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States; up to 10% travel required.

Salary: $97,000–$145,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Review and deliver financial reports, financial statements, and KPIs for nonprofit clients.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling.
• Provide technical accounting assistance to clients and internal engagement teams.
• Develop and coach staff and senior accountants while monitoring team KPIs.
• Support client onboarding through system setup and process documentation.
• Implement process improvements, integrate new technology platforms, and train team members on system enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years of recent accounting experience, including public accounting and controller-level responsibilities in nonprofit or federally grant-funded organizations.
• Experience with nonprofit compliance, including grant reporting, Uniform Guidance, or audit support.
• Knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, restricted funds, net asset classifications, financial reporting, KPIs, and cash flow.
• At least 3 years of experience managing associates or teams and building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct; CPA or similar certification is preferred.
