Senior Investment Reporting Analyst

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States; primary location: Greenwood Village, Colorado

Base salary: $79,400–$112,175 per year, plus potential bonus participation

What you will do

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual U.S. Statutory NAIC state financial reports, supplements, audited financial statements, surveys, and U.S. GAAP annual registered financial statements.
• Coordinate investment presentation in quarterly financial statements and research disclosures required by new accounting pronouncements, guidelines, and investment types.
• Interpret U.S. Statutory, U.S. GAAP, tax, regulatory, and investment accounting requirements and recommend changes to reporting systems.
• Coordinate investment audits, explain accounting positions, monitor reporting databases, and adjust data where necessary.
• Reconcile ledger balances across multiple systems and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests with formatted explanations of results.
• Support process improvements, system enhancements, and new process or project implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 4–6 years of financial reporting experience.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of reporting systems including BlackLine, EASY, SAP, PAM, Phoenix, and Unit Value Cloud.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Remote work requires reliable high-speed wired internet and a suitable home workspace; office attendance may be required if these conditions are not met.

Nice to have

• Public accounting or investment-related financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Statutory NAIC and/or GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with investments, Alteryx, Wings annual statement software, Workiva, or WDesk.
• Process improvement and internal controls experience.
