Sr Manager, Operational Finance (Clinical Research)

Location: Remote, United States. Occasional travel to sponsor locations for quarterly business reviews and face-to-face meetings, plus local travel to the Precision office, is expected.

Salary: $135,000–$160,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and train financial analysts supporting operational projects.
• Design and implement project financial processes, reporting workflows, and internal controls.
• Prepare monthly financial metrics covering revenue recognition, forecasting, variance analysis, utilization, project costing, consultant spend, and vendor spend.
• Partner with Finance, Project Directors, and Project Managers on budgets, revenue, backlog, intercompany agreements, invoicing, and earned value analysis.
• Review statements of work, change orders, work orders, and client, vendor, and CRO partner agreements to identify out-of-scope activities.
• Lead financial participation in project reviews and quarterly business reviews, responding to executive reporting requests and ad hoc analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
• At least eight years of project finance experience, including project budgets, financial project management support, earned value analysis, and contract review.
• Direct experience working with sponsors.
• Experience in the CRO industry and financial support for clinical trials.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Remote work is limited to the United States, with occasional travel required.
