What you will do

• Manage product development from design concepts, fabric or material sourcing, and fit or construction sessions through final approval and production launch.
• Risk-assess ranges, conduct fit and durability evaluations, and analyse testing data for safety, performance, and legal compliance.
• Apply technical innovation, including 3D digital fitting, Digi Eye, and advanced testing systems.
• Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Design, Sourcing, Distribution Centres, Stores, and Customer Services to resolve product, stock, quality, and production issues.
• Build supplier relationships, audit manufacturing facilities, and work with overseas partners to maintain quality and delivery standards.
• Support sustainability, ethics, health and safety, trade standards, and team development.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or qualification, or equivalent hands-on technical industry experience.
• Knowledge of product construction, raw materials, manufacturing processes, and testing standards in a specialist area such as knitwear, wovens, hard goods, furniture, or accessories.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and early mitigation of production or quality risks.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and maintain supplier relationships.
• Proactive, flexible, and well-organised approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Candidates requiring sponsorship must meet Home Office sponsorship requirements.
