What you will do

• Prepare and carry out textile material and product tests.
• Operate, check, and maintain specialist laboratory equipment.
• Prepare samples and record, interpret, and report test results.
• Support students, academic staff, and researchers in the safe and effective use of laboratory facilities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the organisation and development of laboratory facilities and testing methods.

Requirements

• Practical technical experience in textile testing and laboratory work.
• Ability to follow established laboratory procedures and relevant testing standards.
• Ability to produce accurate, reliable, and repeatable test results.
• Knowledge of laboratory health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with academic colleagues, technical staff, students, and researchers.
