Infusion Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $60,195.20–$70,543.20 per year

What you will do

• Fill medication orders and prepare sterile and non-sterile products, primarily hazardous drugs.
• Perform compounding in compliance with USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>, institutional policies, and applicable research protocols.
• Ensure timely medication and supply delivery, maintain pharmacy inventory, and check stock rotation and expiration dates.
• Use electronic health record, inventory management, and other pharmacy technology systems to document work and resolve issues.
• Perform quality control, cleaning, automated dispensing cabinet support, batch-compound logging, and emergency medication stocking.
• Cross-cover other pharmacy areas and train employees as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level pharmacy or related degree program.
• At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including 1 year of compounding experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, develop aseptic and compounding proficiency, use pharmacy technology systems, and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork skills.
