Pharmacy Tech - Casual Variable Shifts

Location: 4201 Medical Center Dr., McHenry, Illinois, United States; onsite, part-time, rotating shifts

Salary: USD 22.58–31.61 per hour

What you will do

• Identify, fill, label, and package patient medications, surgical kits, medication carts, emergency crash carts, and specialty items.
• Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures for injections and infusions, including hazardous medications, chemotherapy, and biologics.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and automated dispensing cabinets, retrieve discontinued medications, and maintain cabinet inventory.
• Order, receive, store, rotate, and inspect pharmaceuticals and supplies, including checks for expired medications.
• Handle controlled substances, reconcile dispensing records, and document expired, wasted, and returned medications.
• Maintain medication logs, records, patient charges, credits, and other required documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA for technicians licensed after 2008, within six months of hire or sooner if required by Illinois law.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Up to one year of related work experience is preferred.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
