Field Application Engineer EMEA (MIPS)

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical interface for customers during pre-sales and early development.
• Guide customer engineering teams through processor IP integration, software toolchains, development environments, and system architecture decisions.
• Drive design-in activities and support design wins for CPU IP licensing and custom silicon programs.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate escalations with internal engineering teams.
• Support proposals, RFIs, customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and industry events.
• Translate customer requirements into feedback for product and engineering teams while supporting ecosystem partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in field application engineering, applications engineering, or design engineering.
• Experience with semiconductor IP, SoC/ASIC development, embedded systems, or related industrial, aerospace and defense, or IDM markets.
• Understanding of processor architectures, embedded software development, compilers, SDKs, operating systems, and system-level integration.
• Customer-facing communication, independent field-based work, technical debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English at C1 level, written and verbal.

Nice to have

• Experience with the RISC-V ecosystem or CPU IP integration.
• Experience supporting automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers in Europe.
• Experience with custom silicon or SoC development flows.
• Knowledge of functional safety standards or design requirements in aerospace and defense.
