Software Quality Engineer (Python)

Location: Onsite in Fort Collins, Colorado, United States, five days a week

Salary: $59,350–$89,600 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for United States candidates.

What you will do

• Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test matrices for software, systems, and firmware.
• Perform functional and solution testing of video and collaboration software.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, load, and stress testing.
• Develop Python test scripts and automate testing and integration activities using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Identify, log, debug, and report software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with software development partners and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance, test harnesses, QA tools, or a related field.
• Knowledge of software testing, test automation, test planning, debugging, scripting, and software quality practices.
• Experience or knowledge of Python, APIs, CI/CD, Jenkins, Jira, and TestRail.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, software development, security, SIP protocol, and video software.

Nice to have

• Certified Software Quality Engineer certification.
• Certified Associate in Software Quality certification.
• Certified Software Test Engineer certification.
• Experience with Copilot AI or an equivalent tool.
