Healthcare Tech Manager - Epic Hospital Billing

Location: Chicago, United States. Travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is required, averaging less than 50% annually.

Base salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year. Total estimated compensation, including annual incentive compensation: $156,000–$180,000.

What you will do

• Serve as the Epic Hospital Billing subject matter expert on client engagements.
• Assess workflow needs with operational and technical stakeholders and recommend Epic best-practice solutions.
• Lead client design sessions and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Support Epic Hospital Billing optimization through workflow design, build guidance, testing, and production deployment.
• Complete Epic build directly or collaborate with client analysts to implement effective solutions.
• Communicate with revenue cycle leadership and IT teams while contributing to project delivery and practice capability building.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Epic experience, preferably with strong Epic Hospital Billing expertise, in hospital and healthcare system consulting.
• Current Epic Hospital Billing certification.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Current permanent authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience with Epic implementations, optimizations, or revenue cycle transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Epic Hospital Billing workflows, revenue cycle operations, and technical build processes, with the ability to advise clients rather than only execute assigned build work.
