Epic Senior Systems Analyst - SER (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Gather requirements, map workflows, perform gap analyses, and design Epic application configurations aligned with operational goals.
• Configure Epic records, master files, security, rules, workflows, and related application environments.
• Plan and execute unit, integrated, and user acceptance testing; validate interfaces, reporting, printing, and downstream workflows.
• Coordinate releases, upgrades, environment moves, downtime procedures, go-live support, and post-live hypercare.
• Support Epic and related applications, manage incidents and service requests, perform triage and root-cause analysis, and meet SLAs.
• Develop and maintain training curricula, training environments, documentation, and end-user support processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5–7 years of system analysis and support experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows, including clinical, revenue cycle, or IT operations.
• Strong requirements gathering, workflow design, testing, documentation, system governance, change control, SDLC, ITIL, and waterfall/agile project methodology skills.
• Ability to communicate with clinical and operational stakeholders, managed service providers, and cross-functional project teams.
• For the Application Training role: Epic Training Environment Build certification, 3+ years of experience, and two Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications.

Nice to have

• Current Epic certification or proficiency in relevant modules and 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience.
• Experience with system integration, HL7, FHIR, interface testing, SQL, Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, Radar, or Reporting Workbench.
• Leadership or supervisory experience and experience in a large healthcare system or hospital.
• ITIL Foundation certification, healthcare application experience, regulatory knowledge, cloud platform familiarity, or business intelligence experience.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
