Prototype Technician, Day Shift - Ditch Witch (Welding)

Location: Perry, Oklahoma, United States; day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Salary: $23.10–$35.00 per hour.

Manufacturing organization developing and producing equipment that requires prototype weldments, testing, and engineering support.

What you will do

• Lay out prototype components, determine the appropriate welding process and sequence, and complete prototype weldments.
• Read design prints and model files, identify issues, and document and report findings.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers on product design, manufacturability, functionality, and welding process improvements.
• Review models before weldment release and provide feedback on welding requirements.
• Repair prototype weldments that fail in the field and assist with troubleshooting failures.
• Support operations and engineering teams with machine and test-fixture repair and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience for Prototype Technician I, 5 years for Prototype Technician II, or 10+ years for Prototype Technician III.
• Experience with print reading, troubleshooting, and determining appropriate welding processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, documentation, teamwork, flexibility, motivation, and dependability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
