Production Inspector (Gas Final)

G&W Electric develops engineered electrical power grid solutions and manufactures products for the power industry.

What you will do

• Perform final inspections of switches, component parts, and orders before shipment.
• Inspect work before it moves to the next operation and document results using production and quality forms.
• Prepare inspection findings, Non-Conformance Reports, and Customer Improvement Initiatives for repetitive problems.
• Report ISO standard violations and stop non-conforming processes after notifying the supervisor.
• Help create and implement process control charts for critical processes with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and production teams.
• Train production personnel and contribute to a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of work experience and skill development.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and ladder diagrams is desirable.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP experience is desirable.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and Fluke multimeters.
• Ability to perform medium-heavy physical work, including continuous standing and walking, frequent lifting and bending, and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds with assistance.
