Service Operations Manager (Wind Energy)

Location: Onsite in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, United States, managing wind farms in the Altoona, PA area. Travel outside the area may be required for other business needs, up to 25%.

What you will do

• Lead site operations teams across a portfolio of wind farms and ensure safe, efficient maintenance execution.
• Implement health, safety, and environmental standards, manage daily site activities, allocate resources, and maintain technician training compliance.
• Coordinate technical troubleshooting and act as the first-level customer engineering interface.
• Manage service portfolio P&L performance, contract execution, budgets, risk assessments, and risk-and-opportunity logs.
• Report performance to wind farm owners, monitor technical KPIs, analyze recurring faults, and implement continuous improvement plans.
• Oversee subcontractor activities, certifications, and performance against project standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of wind industry experience, or an associate/trade school degree and 5+ years of wind management experience.
• Proven experience managing and directing multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to climb to heights of 250 feet or greater, work in confined spaces, and meet the safety weight restriction of 265 pounds or less.
• Ability to work onsite in the Altoona, Pennsylvania area and travel up to 25% when required.
