Test Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Wamego, Kansas, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year

What you will do

• Support the development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, testing, equipment, and process issues to support product implementation and manufacturing readiness.
• Develop, execute, document, and improve testing procedures, methods, operations, and reports.
• Monitor test results, machine performance, process capability, and equipment reliability to identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze technical and manufacturing data, identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, and product development teams on process improvement, quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, testing, product development, or engineering activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Experience developing, executing, documenting, and improving product testing procedures and methodologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, software, and technical issues using structured problem-solving methods.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Wamego, Kansas.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of functional, safety, integration, and usability testing principles.
• Experience with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, testing environments, and troubleshooting practices.
• Familiarity with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement tools such as flowcharts, Pareto charts, and fishbone diagrams.
• Experience coordinating technical resources, tracking project progress, and preparing technical reports and presentations.
• Experience with automation systems, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, or other process improvement technologies.
