Lead Technician (Wind Energy)

Location: Berlin, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid schedule with regular in-person site collaboration and travel as required.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day operations at the Lookout wind site and maintain safe, efficient, and profitable turbine operations.
• Perform and oversee mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance, repairs, replacements, and inspections.
• Troubleshoot complex turbine, balance-of-plant, switchyard, and substation equipment issues.
• Lead crews, monitor contractors and site conditions, and help minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
• Inspect completed work, maintain service documentation, update technical manuals and work instructions, and maintain tools and vehicles.
• Train and mentor lower-level technicians, including safe lockout/tagout procedures and reading electrical schematics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electrical or technical studies with 2+ years of turbine experience, or 5+ years of wind turbine experience.
• At least 1 year of independent turbine troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet and work at turbine heights in adverse weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, ability to travel, and flexibility to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including creating and modifying Word and Excel documents; knowledge of turbine pitch systems, computerized controls, power conversion units, and OEM maintenance practices.

• Previous SAP experience.
