EHS Manager in Projects (EHSMiP)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid remote/office work with travel within Romania and abroad for up to 30% of working time

What you will do

• Establish and implement project-specific EHS management systems for FACTS and storage projects.
• Develop emergency preparedness concepts, EHS plans, and safe-by-design execution approaches.
• Provide EHS budget inputs, staffing assumptions, and risk evaluations during tender and bid phases.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, safety walks, EHS reviews, and incident investigations.
• Manage contractor EHS performance, review subcontractor documentation, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate EHS interfaces between site works, suppliers, civil contractors, commissioning teams, and customer operations.

Requirements

• University degree or higher technical education combined with relevant EHS training and certification.
• At least 3 years of occupational safety or EHS experience, including substantial industrial or construction site experience.
• Advanced expertise in EHS management, risk assessment, incident investigation, and hazards related to FACTS, BESS, and synchronous condenser systems.
• Project and financial management capabilities, including EHS budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project lifecycle knowledge.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with diverse international stakeholders and contractors.
• Relevant certifications, including Occupational Health and Safety Inspector Certification under Romanian Law 319/2006 and the NEBOSH International General Certificate.
