Field Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; on-site field work and travel in Romania and abroad

What you will do

• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including as-built documents, equipment lists, and interface control documents.
• Deploy, assemble, mount, install, configure, test, and verify hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, electrical, and networking components.
• Travel to customer and field locations, including telecommunications sites, technical rooms, shelters, masts, and data centers.
• Collect on-site information and update project databases.
• Troubleshoot urgent hardware, firmware, software, and configuration issues close to customers and end users to maintain operational readiness and service levels.
• Maintain tools and instruments, support improvement initiatives, and build effective customer relationships.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in field installation, commissioning, and testing in IT&C or telecommunications.
• Experience with telecommunications technologies, firmware configuration, networking hardware installation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and performing electrical and networking installations.
• Ability to work on-site with governmental institutions and end users, including work at heights and travel to field locations.
• Fluent English, a clean category B driving licence, and a clean police record.
• Ability to work independently, manage conflicting priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
