Manager, Accounting Advisory - Skilled Nursing Industry Clients (Healthcare)

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States

Salary: $109,000–$147,000 base pay annually

What you will do

• Serve as an outsourced controller and provide accounting advisory support to skilled nursing and post-acute healthcare clients.
• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare and analyze benchmarking data, key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and present reporting packages and findings to clients.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
• Lead US and offshore engagement teams while coaching staff and senior accountants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years of accounting, advisory, or financial reporting experience with skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, or post-acute healthcare organizations.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement structures, documentation compliance, billing accuracy, and regulatory oversight.
• At least 3 years of experience managing associates or teams.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, planning, prioritization, project management, and client relationship building.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, PointClickCare, or similar industry accounting software.
