A/V Technician III (Audio Visual)

Location: Lexington Park, Maryland, United States; 5 days on-site. Travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites may be required for up to three to four weeks at a time, with total travel of up to 50%.

Salary: $28.79–$33.11 per hour, subject to prevailing SCA wage rates and benefits.

What you will do

• Build A/V racks from engineering drawings and lead on-site integration and installation.
• Install and mount monitors, speakers, microphones, and other equipment in secure spaces.
• Fabricate, terminate, label, and install A/V cabling and communications infrastructure.
• Test, commission, troubleshoot, and diagnose A/V and video teleconferencing systems.
• Manage equipment inventory and record configuration information for installed equipment and software modules.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience testing and/or integrating audio visual equipment.
• High school diploma or GED and the ability to follow basic flow diagrams.
• Ability to work in high, cramped, confined, and secure spaces; climb ladders and scaffolding; and stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
• Ability to lift items within NIOSH limits, use MS Office, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a valid passport.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Nice to have

• J-STD certification.
• Experience testing fiber and/or copper.
• A/V certifications.
• Current Secret or higher security clearance.
