AV Installation Superintendent (Audiovisual Technology)

Location: Alabama, USA; on-site work at client construction sites with frequent local travel and occasional out-of-town travel.

Salary: $32–$45 per hour

What you will do

• Direct on-site installation activities and oversee field operations for active audiovisual projects.
• Coordinate install crews, subcontractors, union trades, project managers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain installation quality, resolve site issues and roadblocks, and report progress, status, and risks.
• Support and troubleshoot Teams video conferencing, control room, recording, streaming, video production, and digital signage systems.
• Build and wire custom panels, handle and test fiber-optic cabling, and interpret functional design drawings and cable riser diagrams.
• Train installation technicians and maintain tools, materials, vehicles, inventories, logs, and project documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of installation technician experience in a leadership capacity or related industry experience.
• Advanced audiovisual installation skills and knowledge of low-voltage electrical and cable-management concepts.
• Experience with broadcast, audio, video, networking, control-room, video-production, and digital-signage equipment, including Cisco, Ross Tricaster, QSC, Seervision, LG, Megapixel, and Cyviz.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems, lead teams independently, and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience; valid driver’s license required.
• Construction-site work requires PPE, mobility, ladder and stair use, and occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification.
• OSHA 30 certification and other relevant technology certifications.
