Manager, Advisory Accounting (Skilled Nursing Industry)

Location: Remote anywhere in the US; travel up to 10%.

Salary: $107,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Serve as an outsourced controller and provide controller-level advisory support to skilled nursing and post-acute healthcare clients.
• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare benchmarking data, key performance indicators, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Present reporting packages and findings to clients and provide technical accounting support on complex issues.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements through client discovery sessions.
• Coordinate US and offshore engagement teams while leading and coaching staff and senior accountants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years of accounting, advisory, or financial reporting experience with skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, or post-acute healthcare organizations.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement structures, documentation compliance, billing accuracy, and regulatory oversight.
• At least 3 years of experience managing associates or teams.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, planning, prioritization, organization, project management, and relationship building.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• CPA, CMA, or another professional certification.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or PointClickCare.
• Ability to influence others, promote constructive change, and develop team members.
