Sr. Financial Analyst (Healthcare Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, within commutable distance of the office

Salary: CAD 81,000–99,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Prepare quarterly and annual Audit Committee and Board materials, coordinating inputs across finance teams.
• Prepare US GAAP annual financial statements, note disclosures, working papers, and supporting schedules.
• Research complex transactions and new accounting standards, producing technical position papers for senior management and external auditors.
• Manage monthly balance sheet, cash flow, operating metrics, close activities, analysis, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate external audit communications and activities with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain the Risk Control Matrix, support control monitoring, and identify improvements across financial reporting processes.

Requirements

• CPA designation and 4+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience with internal controls, financial risks, technical accounting memos, and formal reports for senior management.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of complex accounting areas such as impairment testing, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and R&D capitalization.
• Strong interpersonal skills, sound business judgment, flexibility, and a collaborative approach.
• Must reside within commuting distance of the Mississauga office for the hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Big 4 or mid-sized public accounting firm.
• Exposure to Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics, workflow, and automation tools.
• Experience or demonstrated curiosity in applying AI and automation to finance and accounting.
