Sr Data Governance Lead, Automation & Operations

What you will do

• Modernize enterprise data governance processes, workflows, operating practices, standards, and controls.
• Design scalable operating models, automated processes, governance capabilities, and technical solutions with business and technology teams.
• Establish governance metrics, KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, reporting, and assessment capabilities.
• Support data quality controls, monitoring, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, privacy, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Embed governance-by-design and shift-left practices into enterprise initiatives and operational requests.
• Drive adoption through stakeholder engagement, workshops, guidance, training, communications, and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information management, data management, business, computer science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, governance operations, data quality, metadata management, or related fields.
• Experience implementing and operationalizing enterprise data governance programs, including processes, controls, operating models, and governance-by-design practices.
• Experience assessing current-state processes and designing scalable future-state workflows, operating models, and governance practices.
• Experience using SQL, BI, analytics, governance platforms, and automation tools to analyze performance and create executive reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, workshop facilitation, and continuous improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GDPR, PIPEDA, ISO 27001, and related industry standards.
• Familiarity with AI ethics principles and frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP or DGSP.
