Director, Implementation (Healthcare)

Location: New York, New York, United States; office-first with in-person collaboration 4 days per week. Periodic travel for on-site client engagements is required, approximately 10–20%.

Annual salary: $170,000–$210,000 plus equity, benefits, and performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of Implementation Managers and Associates delivering pharma and life sciences programs from kickoff through go-live and hypercare.
• Own delivery across a portfolio of enterprise engagements, including scope, timelines, risks, budgets, executive communication, and handoff to the Engagement team.
• Oversee discovery notes, solution designs, project plans, configuration decisions, and client-ready deliverables.
• Define and improve implementation methodology, templates, phase gates, project tooling, reporting, and delivery metrics.
• Hire, coach, onboard, and develop the implementation organization while planning capacity and utilization for future customer growth.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to advocate for platform capabilities that shorten implementations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in customer-facing implementation, professional services, solutions delivery, or technical program management at a B2B SaaS company.
• 2+ years managing implementation, delivery, or professional services professionals.
• Experience personally owning complex, multi-phase enterprise implementations with multiple stakeholders and parallel technical workstreams.
• Strong technical fluency in API integrations, data mapping, system architecture, configuration logic, platforms, and data models.
• Ability to manage senior client executives, high-stakes escalations, portfolio capacity, utilization, and project delivery risks.
• Experience with pharma, life sciences, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare clients; willingness to work from the New York office four days per week and travel periodically.

Nice to have

• Experience with patient support programs, hub services, or specialty pharmacy workflows.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, Veeva, or healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience building playbooks, training materials, or onboarding programs.
• Experience scaling an implementation or professional services team at a high-growth health tech or pharma tech company.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
