Principal Software Architect & Developer (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid; associates within 30 miles of an office location may work remotely part of the week. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Define the long-term architecture vision for web applications and a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Lead technology evaluations, architecture decisions, development standards, engineering practices, and modernization roadmaps.
• Design and develop production software, APIs, integrations, reporting capabilities, shared services, and core platform components.
• Establish DevSecOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, and maintain clean, tested, secure, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product and system owners, development and QA teams, offshore resources, and security and compliance specialists.
• Implement secure-by-design capabilities, including authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, audit trails, and compliance assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience and 5 years of architecture or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading SaaS platform development and owning architectural decisions through implementation and deployment.
• Proficiency with modern technologies such as React, Angular, Java/Spring Boot, C#, .NET, Firebase, Node, and Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, Azure, AWS, and GitHub; knowledge of RESTful APIs, data modeling, and database design.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles, WCAG, ADA, Section 508, and OWASP Top 10; US work authorization without visa sponsorship is required.

• Experience coordinating technical teams while remaining hands-on with development.
