What you will do

• Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise virtualized server environments and hosted applications.
• Design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot VMware-based virtual infrastructure.
• Provision, migrate, monitor, optimize, and manage the lifecycle of virtual servers, virtual machines, hypervisors, storage, and networking.
• Support cloud infrastructure and migration initiatives across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
• Coordinate with network, systems, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams on large-scale technical projects.
• Develop technical documentation and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with DoD security, configuration, compliance, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience managing virtualized server environments and hosted applications.
• At least 2 years supporting or managing large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects involving virtualization, networking, systems administration, and virtual servers.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies and enterprise infrastructure, including systems administration, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Experience in complex enterprise or government environments, with strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Secret clearance is required.

Nice to have

• DoD 8570/8140 Approved Baseline Certification, Category IAT Level II.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, enterprise storage, virtual networking, cloud migration, hybrid-cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal government infrastructure, modernization, data-center transformation, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Relevant VMware, AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI certifications.
