System Administration Specialist (Azure)

What you will do

• Maintain the performance, availability, and security of on-premises and Azure-based servers, systems, and applications.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Azure technologies, and Linux servers and workstations.
• Install, configure, provision, upgrade, patch, and manage Azure resources and server environments.
• Develop system performance and availability metrics, review trends, and report them monthly to government stakeholders.
• Lead production application troubleshooting, incident response, third-tier problem resolution, and communications across stakeholder groups.
• Support systems architecture, virtualization, VDI, VPN access, networking, documentation, and annual authorization and accreditation activities.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience operating, administering, and securing Windows Server, Azure, and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure high availability and scalability, cloud security reviews, compliance checks, monitoring, cost optimization, and infrastructure management.
• Experience administering and optimizing Linux servers, writing automation scripts, and managing software, change, and configuration processes.
• Ability to coordinate with development teams on system requirements and deployments and communicate technical risks to executive and government stakeholders.
