SAP System Administrator

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and operate SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Administer SAP HANA databases, including sizing, replication, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Plan and execute system copies, refreshes, upgrades, support package and kernel updates, and S/4HANA conversions.
• Design SAP migrations to AWS, Azure, GCP, and SAP RISE/Grow environments, including network and identity integration.
• Implement high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, transport management, monitoring, security patching, and operational automation.
• Provide 24x7 production on-call support, document operating procedures, lead incident reviews, and mentor junior Basis engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. work location required; the role is fully remote within the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of SAP Basis or platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments; the posting lists six or more years of experience for the position.
• Hands-on production experience with SAP HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, NetWeaver, SAP upgrades, and system conversions.
• Experience with cloud migrations, SAP HA/DR strategies, HANA System Replication, clustering, transport management, and Solution Manager ChaRM.
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
• Experience with SAP RISE/Grow, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP, and hyperscaler-native services.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with regulated SAP workloads involving SOX, GxP, or PCI.
