Environmental Field Technician (Environmental Monitoring)

Location: Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada; on-site. Site travel across the Yukon and some weekend work are required.

Salary: CAD 28–36 per hour.

Environmental consulting and remediation business specializing in environmental assessments, permitting, regulatory and compliance services, water treatment, mine water management, and turnkey remediation for mining and industrial sectors.

What you will do

• Conduct fieldwork, environmental sampling, and site assessments at project locations.
• Research, compile, manage, analyze, and interpret environmental data.
• Prepare environmental samples and shipments for laboratories.
• Prepare, format, and support environmental analysis reports.
• Maintain equipment and complete related office tasks, including filing and reception when needed.
• Support special projects and other related duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and other business software.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous experience operating ATVs or UTVs.
