People Partner (Tech & Product)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; flexible hybrid working with one to two days per week in the office

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the people strategy for Technology and Product, covering headcount planning, organizational design, succession, and retention.
• Partner directly with functional executives and participate in leadership discussions about roadmaps and trade-offs.
• Coach and challenge senior leaders, including vice presidents and executives, using data and professional judgment.
• Identify cross-functional people patterns and shape frameworks, promotion criteria, onboarding, and restructuring approaches.
• Use people metrics such as attrition, engagement, hiring velocity, and time to fill to diagnose issues and support commercial outcomes.
• Find practical ways to apply AI within the Technology, Product, and People Partner functions.

Requirements

• Solid experience as a strategic People Partner or HR Business Partner in a high-growth or fast-changing business.
• Experience partnering with product or engineering leadership, ideally in technology or SaaS.
• Commercial mindset with a record of connecting people and business issues to measurable outcomes.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and make decisions stick without formal authority.
• Confident use of people metrics to diagnose organizational issues rather than only report on them.
• Experience shaping People team frameworks or improving broken processes.
