Base pay: CAD 203,500–275,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead managers and individual contributors, set strategic direction, and ensure timely delivery of complex projects.
• Guide the analysis and interpretation of complex US and Canadian tax compliance requirements.
• Set architectural strategy for scalable, resilient tax systems and drive advanced software engineering practices.
• Own operational health, including reliability, latency, availability, incident response, on-call quality, and technical debt reduction.
• Ensure accrual, balance, and compliance-sensitive logic is correct and auditable, while meeting security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory standards.
• Shape product and technology roadmaps through cross-functional collaboration, customer insights, experimentation, AI, and automation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or software development, with deep knowledge of the tax compliance lifecycle.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including managing other managers.
• Expert-level knowledge of US and/or Canadian tax law and compliance, including complex and ambiguous regulations.
• Strong technical knowledge of software development processes, agile methodologies, and architectural design for complex systems.
• Strategic thinking, large-scale initiative leadership, and the ability to influence product and technology roadmaps.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity skills.
