Engineering Manager II (AI)

Location: Remote across North America, including Canada and the United States

Base salary: CAD 228,000–313,500 in Canada; USD 208,000–286,000 in the United States. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the Ivy internal AI platform team responsible for onboarding internal APIs, UI, and knowledge systems into the external AI platform.
• Partner with product management and feature teams to define platform integrations, AI primitives, UX patterns, and production feedback loops.
• Own the evaluation pipeline and platform used by feature teams.
• Hire, mentor, and develop full-stack engineers across multiple seniority levels.
• Set the technical direction for scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems while promoting engineering best practices and rigorous code reviews.
• Prioritize roadmap execution, conduct interviews, and contribute code for issue resolution and high-impact improvements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of engineering management experience leading full-stack teams.
• At least 6 years of software development experience in web technologies and scalable systems architecture.
• In-depth experience with TypeScript, Python, and AI-native engineering.
• Experience with React and large language models.
• Strong understanding of data structures, system design, cloud computing, and full-stack development.
• Candidates must be located in Canada or the United States and able to work remotely across North America.
